We collect most of this personal information directly from you – in person, by telephone, text or emailand/or via our enrolment and contact and order forms (hosted on our website). However, we may also collect information:

  • from a third party with your consent e.g. physiotherapist or other medical practitioner
  • via our business accounting software ‘ANNA Money’
  • from cookies on our website 

How and why we use your personal information

Under data protection law, we can only use your personal information if we have a proper reason for doing so, for example:

  • for the performance of our contract with you, or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract;

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored on our googledrive cloud storage with strong password protection.

We will keep your personal information while we are providing products or services to you. Thereafter, we will keep your personal information for as long as is necessary to respond to any questions, complaints or claims made by you or on your behalf (6 months).

We will then dispose of your information by shredding any paper documents and deleting any digital records and backups.

Promotional communications

We may use your personal information to send you updates (by email, text message, telephone, or post) about our products and services, including exclusive offers, promotions or new products and services.

We have a legitimate interest in processing your personal information for promotional purposes (see above ‘How and why we use your personal information’). This means we do not usually need your consent to send you promotional communications. However, where consent is needed, we will ask for this consent separately and clearly.

You have the right to opt out of receiving promotional communications at any time by contacting us at Lobster Pilates.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.

Changes to this privacy policy

This privacy policy was published on 25th February 2021 and last updated on 12th July 2023. We keep our privacy policy under regular review and will make relevant updates when required. We will inform you of any changes to the privacy policy via email.
