Following the success of our previous events in 2025, we are very excited to be joining forces with nutritionist Joy Skipper to run another Wellness Day on Saturday 25th October. The day will be tailored towards helping you manage your health and wellbeing over the winter period with a particular focus on movement and nutrition. Winter can be a challenging time for the immune system; with increased rates of flu and other contagious illnesses, combined with a packed social schedule over the festive season, making it challenging to maintain a regular exercise routine. During the day, we will provide you with practical tips and advice to help maintain healthy habits, whilst also providing an opportunity to switch off from outside pressures and take some well-deserved time to focus on yourself.

Pilates

Sophie, founder of Lobster Pilates and Stoke Row resident, will be running numerous pilates sessions over the course of the day, working through the key principles of posture and alignment, strength, and mobility – principles which you can take away and apply to your daily activities. These sessions will be broken down into short “exercise snacks” making in manageable to fit into your schedule at home. Each session will be suitable for beginners whilst providing progressions for those who want a bit more challenge. Following the day, you will receive a selection of short recorded sessions to help keep you moving over the winter.

Nutrition

There will be tasty well-balanced snacks, drinks and a mouth-watering lunch menu provided by registered nutritionist Joy Skipper (who also lives in Stoke Row). Joy will also be talking about how nutrition can play a huge role in helping you to function optimally and feel great, specifically ways in which you can support your immune system during the winter months.

Kimchi Making

Joy will also be running a kimchi making workshop which will result in a jar of your very own kimchi to take home with you. During the session, you will learn about the importance of eating fermented foods as part of a healthy diet and how they contribute to better gut health and immune function.

The event will be taking place at Stoke Row Village Hall and will run from 10am-3pm. The cost is £85 which includes all sessions detailed above, snacks, drinks and lunch. If you would like to join us then please email sophie@lobsterpilates.com. There are limited spaces so please book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. It would also make a lovely gift to treat someone special in your life.
